Ask Me Workshop – an open conversation about causes of migration, stories of fleeing & racism in eastern Germany
We give people of different ages and educational backgrounds the opportunity to ask questions about the life of migrants and refugees in east Germany, either in an open conversation or in workshops. As a group of people with different experiences in everyday life in Saxony from 10 years ago to today, we can discuss racist discrimination in the migration camps and GU (Gemeinschaftsunterkünfte, temporary shared housing), clubs, shopping centres and cafes, when going to the authorities, by people in everyday life. We can give you tips about: What kind of support do people need? What can you do? How can you create contacts and exchange opportunities? We are available to come to your school, organisation, care home, festival, neighbourhood party, or wherever.

‚Integration course‘ for people in solidarity
For initiatives, for-profit and non-profit organisations, for young people and others interested in a fair community, we offer orientation for living together in solidarity fed by our experience as new neighbours/colleagues/friends in Saxony. The main topics can be different concepts of everyday life, of socialised gender roles, of security and work as well as leisure time, depending on your interests.
One-on-one sessions
We are also available for individual discussions, e.g. for interviews, statements, or individual conversations ‚on the couch‘. We also talk to people about their respective expertise, be it with young people about their opportunities, with social workers about their concerns, or with people who have lived in central housing shelters about their experiences.
